Military Fashion has been often worn by
males, and especially in the past. This, though being true, is not necessarily a
stumbling block for women to have clothing that resemble the essence of military
fashion, but at the same time project a feminine look through an adornment that
is themed specifically with military in mind. This military pattern mimicking is
to mimic the soldier’s uniform in the past, and then incorporating all of this
into a piece of clothing, subsequently forming an adornment that looks like a
soldier’s adornment, but is casual fashion.
One good component out of a military uniform for
men in the past that has been adapted into women’s fashion is the stylish coat.
Coats are often worn by generals in the past, especially those who live in a
cold country, but that style has now been adapted into women’s fashion as well.
However, the adaptation does not end there. Some women designers have begun
designing clothing that has more pockets on it. Not similar to a wedding dress,
which usually has no pockets or whatsoever holes to store items, the military
adaptation tries to utilize the pockets as a way to add a unique tone to the
clothing. Pockets are usually on trousers only for a woman’s clothing generally,
but military fashion for women has actually managed to adapt to making these
pockets both a functional thing, and also a fashionable display. This makes the
fashion in itself unique. What more could be said about women’s military fashion
is that they fit very well with many dark colours. While at the same time, some
darker clothing in women’s military fashion may well be resistant to stubborn
stains that often arrive untimely. So these camouflage-worthy colours work
essentially as a mask that can help a woman seal off the colour of the dirt in
camouflage, persisting to be beautiful though having the dirt on.
Military fashion for women could actually be
expanded to a further use. Some other purposes could be, say, using a pair of
shorts with a military-themed tint, as a pair of shorts suitable for a short
outing in the woods for picnic. Also, the military-resembling coats are usually
thick, which means they can be a very good covering worn in autumn (and winter
for those countries that have warmer winters), so that a woman can maintain
being stylish at the same time as she is warmed by the coat. This is an
indication for women to not limit their repertoire of fashion strictly to very
feminine looking adornments, but they can go further in considering a pair of
shorts, or even a coat as a good component added into their closet. In essence,
try to collect fashions that could function for different occasions, so that one
would have a repertoire of versatile fashion rather than having only a stagnant
and monotonous group of clothing that can do nothing more but hang in the closet
only until the arrival of the occasion. As it is better to use that money of
yours on fashion that can be worn often, rather than those clothing that remain
in the closet without purpose.
